Hello, we are Elie and Nele,
two female detransitioners from Belgium and Germany. Post Trans is a project we have decided to create as we realised that there was a big gap on the topic of detransition.
We believe that it is increasingly important to address this issue and to give support to female individuals who stopped identifying as trans.
Our goal is to provide a space for female detransitioners to share their experiences as well as giving an alternative narrative to the common discussions on transidentity.
You can read more about our values here.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions
︎ We have recently decided to focus on new chapters in our lifes and therefore reduced the amount of work that we have previously put into this project. Therefore, we might not respond to every message that we receive. Thank you for your understanding.

Elie is a 25-year-old social science student from Belgium. She started taking testosterone at the age of 16, followed by a mastectomy at 17, and detransitioned at 20. She has done research on the topic of detransition and is devoted to working further to improve the lives of dysphoric people and gender nonconforming women and girls.
She’s mostly the one answering messages and managing our social media. She also takes care of all the research and writing involved in our different projects, and works on the French translations.
Nele is a 27-year-old freelance illustrator and graphic designer from Germany who has recently published a comic book on the topic of detransition.
She started her transition at the age of 20 and detransitioned after two years of testosterone and a mastectomy.
Nele is responsible for the design and illustration part of Post Trans, she created the website and also works on the German translations.
